The Gospel Truths
Man's Problem
God is holy and demands perfection. Man is sinful and deserves eternal separation from God.
Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
God's Solution
Sin must be paid for and forgiven. Jesus Christ, God’s Son, paid for man’s sin by dying on the cross. Jesus rose from the dead, proving that God accepts His payment in full.
2 Corinthians 5:21, “He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”
2 Corinthians 5:21, “He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”
Your Responsibility
Repent of your sin and believe! Trust in Jesus Christ and what He has done.
John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”
John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”
How do you receive Christ?
Admit your need (I am a sinner). Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the cross and rose from the grave. Call on Him to save you.
Romans 10:9, “That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Romans 10:9, “That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
How to express your trust through prayer
Dear Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness. I believe that You died for my sin, were buried, and rose from the dead. I trust You as my only Savior. I invite You to come into my life. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
If you have placed your trust in Jesus Christ, here are 5 things to help you grow
1. Read the Bible daily to know Christ better. (Begin with the gospel of John in the New Testament.)
2. Talk to God in prayer daily.
3. Tell others about your decision and how they too can know Christ.
4. Worship, fellowship, and serve with other Christians in a church where Christ and the Bible are preached.
5. Keep looking to Jesus Christ because He will never fail you.
