Local Outreach

John 15:12
This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.

Our Local Outreach Ministry looks for ways to share the gospel and serve in our local community. We believe God commands us to share His love and truth in word and deed. We also provide training for our church members on how to form meaningful relationships with friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers in order to show God's love and share the good news of Jesus when opportunities arise.

We believe that God has put us strategically within our neighborhoods with the purpose to reach those around us with the love of Christ. We encourage our congregation to participate in National Good Neighbor Day on September 28th each year. During the month of September, we provide suggestions and ideas of how to specifically connect with and care for our neighbors.

We have two Community Clean-Up days a year, one in the Spring and a second in the Fall. We want to make a positive impact in our community by picking up trash and debris. As we go, we pray for opportunities to connect with people and that God will draw them to Himself.

Local Outreach is dedicated to helping our congregation learn to become more confident in sharing their faith with others. Our goal is to provide periodic training in how to share the gospel in a biblically faithful and easy-to-understand way, in dependence on the Holy Spirit.

Every Christmas we organize a few special events to reach our community and unbelieving friends and family with the greatest news of all. Be it Christmas caroling, our Christmas Community Night or our yearly Christmas Eve service, we want to shine the light of Christ in our dark world.
