Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” And he laid his hands on them and went away.

Matthew 19:14-15

Our goal at Garden Chapel in our Children's Ministry to to help plant seeds of the Gospel in the lives of children, help them grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ, and to bear the fruit of the Holy Spirit in their lives.

The following ministries are available for your children:

Garden Chapel's Parent's Portal

If you have children or teens in our ministries, we encourage parents to join the Parent Portal, where we keep you up-to-date with what your children are learning and events going on at the church. We also regularly post encouragements for parents to continue strong in their responsibility of raising their children for the Lord.  To join, follow the link below and request to join our closed Facebook group.

Nursery

Our nursery ministry supports parents by providing for the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of our youngest during worship services (except the 8:00 AM service) and special events.  We ask parents to fill out and turn in a contact information sheet for new children.  You can fill out the information about your child or children below.

Child Information Form

Sunday School

Our goal is to teach children the doctrines, principles, and stories of the Bible. Using The Gospel Project curriculum, children go through the Bible in three years, learning how all of it points to Jesus Christ. We also supply parents with resources that help them continue the lessons at home.  For children 3rd-6th grade, they will begin to learn how to read and study the Bible themselves through a guided Bible study by one of our beloved teachers.

There are Sunday School classes during the Sunday 9:30 AM hour for ages 3 years through 6th grade.

Junior Church

Junior Church is available during the Sunday 10:45 AM service for children ages 3 through 3rd grade. Story time, Bible verses, songs, videos, and activities are part of a fun and educational time centered around the Bible.

Wednesday Olympians

Every Wednesday from 7:00-8:15PM we offer the Word of Life Olympians program for 1st through 6th grade.

The WOL program emphasizes the following key spiritual components such as; sound biblical teaching, scripture memory, daily quiet time devotional, Christian service, and consistent attendance.   The curriculum uses the Olympic theme by using a medal system (gold, silver, and bronze) for different levels of achievement in which Word of Life gives discounts for camp and medals to honor those who worked hard.

The Quiet Time lessons engage with the weekly teaching.  We believe that everyone should be diving into God's Word each day, so we provide devotional for our students at a half-off price.

Good News Clubs

Garden Chapel partners with CEF (Child Evangelism Fellowship) in the Good News Club® ministry at our church. The purpose is to evangelize children with the Gospel and disciple them. The action-packed day-time club includes singing, Scripture memory, missions story, review games and other activities. Join us the 2nd and 4th Thursday's of each month during the school year.  Good News Club runs from 4:00pm-5:30pm here at our church.  We also run a van to pick up students from Kunkle Elementary School.  Permissions slips are needed and can be found here at church or in the school office.  The first club meeting is September 22, 2022.

VBS

Vacation Bible School is a week long ministry during the summer in which children can come and experience God's Word in a fun, unique, and creative way.  We use games, crafts, snacks, music, and stories to show children how God loves them and calls them into a relationship with Him.

VBS is absolutely FREE for children!
